About THC

Overview

Treasure Hunt Champion (THC) is an online game platform that allows users to earn real money by either hosting or participating as hunters in virtual treasure hunts. THC is a contest of skill where contestants use their knowledge to compete against each other solving clues, and is not considered gambling. Hunters must be at least 18 years of age, and be located in any state within the United States except for Arizona, Louisiana, and South Carolina, while participating in a treasure hunt.

Treasure Hunts

Treasure hunts consist of a series of clues provided by THC, that must be solved by participating hunters in order to complete the hunt. The hunter(s) who solve the clues the fastest win cash prize(s) paid out by THC to the winner(s). Cash prizes may range from a few dollars to tens of thousands of dollars or more depending on the size of the treasure hunt. A description of the treasure hunt including the theme, starting date and time, number of clues, and prize amounts are published for each hunt before the hunt begins.

Hunters are required to register for a treasure hunt in advance and may be required to pay an entry fee to participate. When the hunt begins, the first clue is delivered to all hunters simultaneously. Clues and Hints may be text, images, video clips, or audio clips. Hints are available for one Gold Coin each (roughly $1.00) to help solve clues if needed. When a hunter answers a clue correctly, the next clue is delivered until all clues have been answered correctly. Treasure hunters race to be the fastest to solve all the clues and complete the hunt. The fastest time receives the first place cash prize. In larger Hunts, more than one prize may be awarded to those with the fastest times.

Hosting a Hunt

Users can also create and host their own treasure hunts and invite their friends and associates to participate as hunters. THC provides all of the clues and hints for the treasure hunt, and a simple way to promote the hunt with email invitations, and social media ads. Hosts receive 70% of the revenue from the purchase of hints by hunters during the hunt. Hosts can make substantial earnings depending on the number of people who participate in their hunts. for example, if 100 people sign up for a hunt, and each one purchases and average of 10 hints during the hunt, the host would earn about $700 (70% x 100 x 10).  For social media influencer with thousands of followers, or organization with a large number of customers or members, the earning potential can be much higher.
